Humm...I like this book, yes it's a fact, but there were parts I was confused or got lost. I know is a high rated book (4.5 stars) but in my perspective it was only a physician teacher who had a wife and a kid and all sudden, someone kidnapped him in middle of the night and his life falls apart. Everything he knows or knew, disappeared mysteriously. I felt it wasn't the perfect book for me or I wasn't in right mood or time to read this book.
In short, I liked it but didn’t love it...but no regrets about reading it. I would be surprised if the movie coming up, better than the book...as by the law usually books are better than movies version. We'll see anyway..."

1st book of 2017 I read and I'm so happy that was this one. OMG I been waiting to read this book a looong time and I don't regret a thing...really good and Don Winslow did a create job on showing what it's like be in Mexican cartels, their relationships with DEA and his details on how cartels sees the world and how easily the authority force can be so corrupted due to Mexican lifestyle and their hunger to get some power and money. If you read "Scarface", "The Godfather" and similar novels that you enjoyed, then please read this one, it really deserves your attention. I really enjoyed !!!"
